The iDrive will on occasion totally freeze and lock the iDrive wheel. Other times, no sound will come from the car, on some occasions the iDrive wheel becomes totally loose,spinning without any tension or clicking. The issues are never consistent, but have happened on and off fairly regularly since the purchase.
To reset, press the sound system power button, the CD eject, and the DVD eject buttons all at the same time.
