2H Champion is quite powerful -- you'll never die and still be able to do quite respectable damage. But 2H Reaver is the only warrior class capable of doing rogue-levels of damage, and with the right gear and ability setup you can also be extraordinarily difficult to kill. Fire-focused Necromancer is the best mage spec in terms of pure damage

Next most fun thing would likely be Dagger tempest for extremely similar reasons. Honorable mentions, Templar, because it's a team player class and I think it's legit extremely powerful with the right set up. Rift mage for their solo combo potential, due to having an additional detonator and nearly endless mana supply.
Solas. Solas is probably the mage-iest mage you have available out of all of the Dragon Age Inquisition companions. Ultimately, Knight Enchanter is probably the best mage specialty, but the companion AI does an abysmal job at handling its more complex mechanics. Rift Mages, like Solas, on the other hand, do just fine under AI control.
7 Subterfuge. The Subterfuge tree is a good support tree to consider. Its first talent, Stealth, is an essential skill for any Rogue. Stealth allows the Rogue to be overlooked by enemies, and
