Less people would buy the full bundle during the limited time, yes. But i feel more people would buy guns during the period after for the free knife. The bundle would still have the card n buddy incentive. The incentive wont be as strong, yes. But if more people were to buy gun skins for the knife skins afterwards then i feel its a smart thing

Take the elderflame knife, which costs 4,950 VP, which is like 50 dollars or more(IDK). It has no variations, only has vfx and animation.
Not all, but most of the battle pass skins are worth the $10 including the extras they throw in and along with a knife. Not free but good value IMO, probably the closest thing it will ever be to free for those kinds of skins. Prolly not. Riot Games = money making.
