Once you've popped the gearlever surround off, you'll be able to feel that theres nothing underneath where you're drilling. Then what I did was unscrew the two screws on the back of the CK3100 unit, and unplug the cable (the white box just pulls off) and feed it through the hole before connecting it back again and screwing the box up.
The speaker +- wires from the Etadyne kit go to one of the Parrot's harness speaker outputs. I chose the front-right speaker outputs, but I don't think the choice matters.
