Symptom 3: Engine Surging. Engine surges if the fuel pump driver module is malfunctioning. When the fuel pump driver module isn’t functioning properly, it can result in the fuel pump delivering an inconsistent amount of fuel to the engine. This irregularity in fuel delivery can cause the engine to surge or hesitate while accelerating.
