The engine cranked over but would not fire (or tried to a tiny bit). We checked the battery voltage and it turned out to be real low (12.2v) so I bought a new battery. I'd remove the filter and check it's fuel level. If low fill it up & try to recheck sealing gasket & installation before priming & trying again. Never easy to get one started after it gets air in the system. Again, that's general diesel commentary, IDK what system is on yours - some guessing from the filter/primer/pump info given.
